Tsz Kam was born in British colonial Hong Kong in the early 90s and grew up there during the post-colonial period. Kam moved to Texas at age 13 and went on to attend The University of Texas at Austin where they obtained their BFA.

Kam is currently based in Austin, Texas and makes work exploring gender and culture through surrealist imagery and pattern and decoration art. By using escapism and nostalgia as an expression, Kam reestablishes a sense of belonging through their works.
